The nursery has 15 staff members with 12 being qualified and 3 working towards a childcare NVQ.

The nursery is run by a board of directors who volunteer their time.

The chairperson is Shelley Watson who has been the chair since 2004

The directors meet at least four times a year to support the nursery and track and monitor the development and progress of the nursery

The directors employ a nursery manager Mrs Kate Meiklejohn. Kate has worked for Trench Tots since 1999 and has many childcare, teaching and business qualifications. Kate takes on the responsibility of the nursery and works alongside the directors to maintain policies and procedures and conform to all regulations and requirements

The deputy manger is Miss Louise Hurcomb who has been at Trench Tots since March 2004. Louise has many childcare qualifications and has expert knowledge within the younger years. Louise organises the nurseries administration alongside Kate. Both Louise and Kate are supernumerary and are not included in the adult to child ratios.

The nursery has a senior who is on the opposite shift to Louise and both Louise and the senior either open or close the nursery.

The current acting Senior is Samantha Sankey who is covering for Vicky Johnston who is currently on maternity leave. We also have two other staff trained in the senior role they are Gemma Elsemore and Nicola Sheward, both step in when required.

Rooms each have a room leader then their room staff.
